Minibus for Bowman

On Thursday 31st October, Bowman Academy Head of School, Toby Ellis, and Assistant Headteacher, Lizzie Papworth, were delighted to receive the school’s first minibus from Variety, the Children’s Charity, presented by former England goalkeeper, Dave Beasant. 

The presentation took place at Berkshire Golf Club, after Variety Golf kindly sponsored the minibus. 

Mr Ellis said:

“We would like to thank everyone involved in the sponsorship of the minibus which will give our pupils the opportunity to enjoy a tailored curriculum that promotes learning, personal growth and development. This includes not only the formal requirements of the National Curriculum, but also the range of extra-curricular activities that are organised to enrich the experience for our pupils. 

Having our very own minibus gives us the opportunity to put these plans into practice and prepare our pupils for life after school with a range of activities outside the school setting, integrating with the local community and beyond.”
