Reading celebrations such as World Book Day are used to emphasise the importance of reading and encourage pupils to read at home.
Our Reading Ambassadors help promote a love of reading across the school by recommending books, supporting younger pupils, and encouraging everyone to enjoy reading for pleasure.
Our Reading Ladder Reward System encourages pupils to read at home. Children move up the ladder by reading regularly and recording their reading, earning prizes along the way. This helps build confidence, good reading habits, and a love of books.
We have reading corners and reading areas around school to celebrate our love of reading!
