Christmas Celebrations at Bowman

We had lots of exciting events going on at Bowman Academy in the run up to Christmas. Our student choir visited The Willows Care Home to sing Christmas carols for the residents there, bringing smiles and festive cheer to everyone! They had a wonderful time interacting with the residents.

All classes took part in our Christmas door competition, where each class decorated their classroom door. They showed great teamwork and creativity, and the finished results looked fantastic.

We were delighted to welcome a very special visitor – Santa Claus himself. Students across the school had the wonderful opportunity to speak with Santa, share their Christmas wishes, and enjoy the excitement of the festive season. To make the visit even sweeter, pupils were gifted a box of chocolates as a special treat. There was an incredible amount of Christmas spirit felt throughout the school, with smiles, laughter, and festive cheer!

We also had our first Christmas Fair raising a brilliant £618.35, which will go towards improving our outdoor areas.

At the fair, we were very lucky to have another visit from Santa organised by the Shepshed Lions Club. We also had over 15 small businesses attend, selling everything from bakes, personalised items and Christmas gifts. We also had our popular teddy bear stall, snack shack and a huge raffle with several hampers and prizes. We were really grateful to Abi from Cafe2u who came with her coffee van and gave out free sandwiches and snacks, alongside making a generous donation to Bowman Friends and Families – our PTA.

We hope that all our students and families had a wonderful Christmas and we are looking forward to the new term ahead.
