National Careers Week 2025

‘Careers Week’ at Bowman
During National Careers Week (3rd to 7th March), Bowman Academy pupils were visited by adults working in industries such as Science, Midwifery, Hairdressing, and the Fire Service.
Pupils from each class prepared questions and joined in Q&A sessions with their visitors, learning all about what it’s like to do their jobs on a day-to-day basis.
Our pupils showed brilliant confidence and manners to the guests.
We were also very lucky to have a special visit from the Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service – Shepshed Station. The pupils learned all about what it’s like to work in the emergency services. CLICK HERE for some photos.
Towards the end of the week, our pupils were keen to tell us what career they would like to pursue in the future. There was a lot of variety – from a 3D modeller to a Royal Navy Officer, a mechanic and a doggy day care owner. Exciting futures lie ahead!
